The Six Steps

A simple process from start to finish — follow these in order for the smoothest submission experience.

01
📦
Organize Your Cards

Sort your cards by set, game, or card type before submitting. Group Pokemon separately from sports cards, Dragon Ball, etc. A well-organized submission moves through processing faster and reduces the chance of errors.

02
Clean Your Cards

Inspect each card carefully before packaging. Gently remove any visible dust or fingerprints using a clean microfiber cloth. Handle cards by the edges only — never touch the surface. Any preventable condition issues that arrive in your package will be reflected in the grade.

03
📦
Package Your Cards

Place each card in a penny sleeve first, then into a rigid top loader or card saver. Do not send cards loose — unprotected cards that arrive damaged cannot be graded at their true potential. Secure top loaders with painter’s tape (not scotch tape directly on cards) and team bag the bundles.

04
📋
Submit Your Order

Complete your submission through the portal at submit.crowngradingpro.com. Select your service tier, list every card in your order, and note any special instructions. Once submitted, send a copy to crowncollectiblesgrading@gmail.com, print one copy to include in your package, and keep one for your records.

05
🚚
Ship Your Cards

Pack your sleeved and loaded cards tightly in a sturdy box with bubble wrap or packing foam. Include your printed submission form inside the package. Use a tracked, insured shipping method — we recommend USPS Priority Mail or UPS. Ship to the address provided in the submission portal confirmation.

06
🏆
Receive Your Grades

You’ll receive an email or text notification when grading is complete. Your cards are encased in a Crown slab with a unique serial number, then shipped back via the method you selected. Every grade is immediately searchable on CrownDatabase.com by anyone, forever.

Packaging Guide

How you package your cards directly affects whether they arrive safely. Follow these guidelines exactly.

Do This
  • Place each card in a penny sleeve first
  • Slide sleeved card into a rigid top loader or card saver
  • Secure top loaders with painter’s tape only
  • Team bag each bundle of top loaders
  • Wrap bundles in bubble wrap inside the box
  • Fill all empty space with packing foam or paper
  • Use a rigid-sided cardboard box, not a padded envelope
  • Include your printed submission form inside
  • Use a tracked and insured shipping service
Avoid This
  • Sending cards loose without sleeves or holders
  • Using scotch tape directly on cards or sleeves
  • Overstuffing top loaders (causes edge stress)
  • Leaving empty space in the box (cards shift and bend)
  • Using rubber bands around card bundles
  • Shipping without tracking or insurance
  • Sending cards in a plain envelope
  • Forgetting to include your submission form
  • Sending cards that are wet, warped, or heavily damaged

What Crown AI Evaluates

Every card is graded across four independent subgrades. The final Crown Grade is a composite of all four.

🔎
Surface

Scratches, print lines, holo damage, staining, and any surface-level wear visible under inspection.

✚️
Centering

The ratio of border width from left-to-right and top-to-bottom. Measured precisely on both sides of the card.

📈
Corners

Sharpness and wear at all four corners. Fraying, nicking, or rounding at any corner impacts this subgrade.

Edges

The condition of all four card edges. Chipping, whitening, nicks, and roughness are all evaluated here.

The Crown Grade Scale
Graded on a 0.5-point scale  —  1.0, 1.5, 2.0 … 9.5, 10.0
Gold Label — Immaculate
The highest Crown honor. Awarded when all four subgrades score a perfect 10. The Gold Label Immaculate designation is Crown’s rarest and most prestigious label.
10
Crowned Gem
Flawless. Perfect centering, razor corners, pristine edges, and zero surface defects. The highest numeric Crown grade.
9.5
Gem Mint
Near-perfect with only the most microscopic imperfections. An exceptional card in virtually every category.
9
Mint
Very strong card with minor centering variance or extremely light edge/corner wear. Highly collectible.
8
Near Mint
Light wear present but card is still sharp and clean. One clear issue in a single category.
7
Extremely Fine
Noticeable wear across multiple subgrades but no major defects. Good condition overall.
6
Very Fine
Moderate wear visible to the naked eye. Card is still complete and intact with no major damage.
5
Fine
Visible wear and light creasing. Card is intact but shows clear signs of use.
4
Fair
Heavy wear across multiple subgrades. Creasing or surface damage present.
3
Very Good
Significant wear and damage. Graded and recorded for completeness and authenticity verification.
2
Good
Heavily worn with major creasing, fading, or defects across all subgrades.
1
Poor
Severe damage or wear throughout. Card is authentic and verified but in the lowest condition.

📄 Condition Report

A written breakdown of each graded attribute — what scored well, what held the grade back, and the AI’s full analysis.

🌐 Database Record

Your card’s full grade entry is published on CrownDatabase.com and is publicly searchable by serial number forever.

✅ Public Verification

Any buyer, collector, or dealer can look up your serial number and verify the grade instantly — zero friction.

Common Questions

Answers to the questions we hear most from new submitters.

How long does grading take?

Turnaround time depends on your selected service tier and current submission volume. You’ll receive an estimated timeframe at the time of submission. Royal Submitter members receive priority processing.

What is the minimum submission size?

There is no minimum for standard submissions — you can submit a single card or an entire collection. Royal Submitter pricing requires a minimum monthly quantity.

Can I track my submission status?

Yes. You’ll receive email updates at key stages — when your package is received, when grading begins, and when your cards ship back. You can also contact us directly at crowncollectiblesgrading@gmail.com for status updates.

What happens if a card arrives damaged from shipping?

Crown Grading photographs every card upon arrival and logs its condition. This is why insured, tracked shipping is strongly recommended — if damage occurs in transit, documentation protects your claim.

Can I request a specific grade to be reviewed?

If you believe there was an error in a grade, contact us at crowncollectiblesgrading@gmail.com with your serial number and the specific concern. We review all legitimate grade disputes on a case-by-case basis.

Do you grade vintage or unlimited print cards?

Yes. Crown grades cards from any era and any print run. The same four-subgrade AI evaluation applies to all cards regardless of age, set, or format.
