Crown Grading — Official Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: May 6, 2026

Welcome to Crown Grading. By accessing or using the Crown Grading website, services, submission systems, database platforms, AI-assisted grading systems, or related services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms of Service. Please read these terms carefully before using Crown services.

Section 01

Acceptance of Terms

By using Crown Grading services, creating an account, submitting collectibles, or accessing the Crown platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service, as well as any related policies, standards, or submission guidelines published by Crown.

⚠  If you do not agree to these terms, do not use Crown services.
Section 02

Eligibility & Account Responsibility

Users must be legally capable of entering binding agreements under applicable law.

You are responsible for:

Maintaining account security
Safeguarding login credentials
Ensuring submission accuracy
All activity occurring under your account

Crown reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts for fraudulent activity, abuse, policy violations, chargeback abuse, harassment, or misuse of the platform.

Section 03

Services Provided

Crown provides collectible grading, authentication review, encapsulation, imaging, database integration, AI-assisted grading analysis, and related collectible services.

Service offerings may evolve over time. Crown reserves the right to:

Add services
Modify services
Discontinue services
Adjust grading methodologies
Update operational procedures

Changes may occur without prior notice.

Section 04

AI-Assisted Grading Disclosure

🤖  AI Disclosure

Crown utilizes AI-assisted systems as part of its grading and review workflow. These systems may assist with imaging analysis, centering review, surface evaluation, anomaly detection, pattern recognition, and operational automation.

AI-assisted systems are tools intended to support grading consistency and operational efficiency. Final grading determinations remain subject to human review, operational oversight, and Crown grading standards.

No automated system is guaranteed to be flawless or error-free.

Section 05

Grading Subjectivity

All grading opinions issued by Crown are subjective evaluations based on Crown’s grading standards at the time of review.

Reasonable differences of opinion may exist between graders, companies, collectors, resubmissions, or evolving industry standards. Submission of collectibles acknowledges and accepts the inherently subjective nature of grading.

Crown does not guarantee:

Future market value
Investment performance
Resale pricing
Cross-company grade equivalency

Grading opinions reflect condition assessment only and should not be interpreted as financial advice.

Section 06

Submission Responsibility

Customers are responsible for:

Accurately identifying submitted items
Properly packaging submissions
Selecting appropriate declared values
Complying with Crown submission requirements

Crown reserves the right to refuse any submission at its discretion without obligation to explain.

Section 07

Altered, Restored & Inauthentic Items

Collectibles exhibiting evidence of alteration, restoration, trimming, recoloring, chemical treatment, surface enhancement, counterfeiting, or authenticity concerns may receive designations including but not limited to:

Not all alterations or counterfeit characteristics are detectable. Crown does not guarantee detection of all restoration or authenticity issues.

Customers should review Crown’s Surface Integrity Standards for additional information.

Section 08

Turnaround Times

Any turnaround estimates provided by Crown are estimates only.

Actual turnaround times may vary due to:

Submission volume
Operational demand
Staffing
Shipping delays
Technical issues
Seasonal fluctuations
Other unforeseen circumstances

Crown does not guarantee completion dates unless explicitly stated in writing.

Section 09

Shipping & Transit Risk

Customers assume full responsibility for all shipping risk prior to Crown receiving and checking in submissions.

Crown strongly recommends:

Tracking on all shipments
Shipping insurance
Signature confirmation
Secure packaging

Once submissions are received and logged into Crown’s system, Crown assumes responsibility pursuant to its operational handling procedures and liability limitations outlined below.

Section 10

Limitation of Liability

Crown’s liability for any claim shall not exceed:

The declared value of the collectible
OR
The amount paid for the grading service

Whichever is lower.

Crown shall not be liable for:

Indirect or consequential damages
Market loss or speculative investment loss
Emotional distress
Loss of future value
Third-party marketplace outcomes
Section 11

Database, Imaging & Content Rights

By submitting collectibles to Crown, customers grant Crown the right to:

Photograph and scan submitted items
Display certification images and data
Populate Crown database systems
Use anonymized grading information
Utilize imagery for operational, archival, educational, security, promotional, and marketing purposes

unless otherwise prohibited by applicable law.

Section 12

Intellectual Property

All Crown branding, logos, slab designs, labels, grading systems, imaging systems, software, databases, website content, and proprietary technologies are the intellectual property of Crown Grading.

Unauthorized reproduction, imitation, scraping, redistribution, or commercial misuse is prohibited.

Section 13

Platform Usage Restrictions

Users may not:

Engage in fraud or abuse the platform
Interfere with site functionality
Attempt unauthorized access to Crown systems
Scrape protected systems or databases
Impersonate Crown personnel
Use Crown systems for unlawful purposes

Crown reserves the right to restrict access or terminate accounts for violations without notice.

Section 14

Policy Updates & Evolving Standards

Crown reserves the right to modify these Terms, update grading methodologies, revise standards, change operational policies, or expand service offerings at any time.

Updated policies become effective upon publication to the Crown website. Continued use of Crown services following an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Section 15

Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and interpreted under the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles.
